IGF fuels and systems specialist

The business unit Fleet Site Support is looking for an IGF fuels and systems specialist to support our client in the area around Barendrecht, The Netherlands. You work as an instructor and technical consultant for minimum 12 weeks per year and has an expertise in the use of gas as a fuel in the shipping industry.

Tasks & Responsibilities

- Study ship specific P&ID drawings and manuals of IGF fuel systems

- Indication of bottlenecks and focus points for the operation and maintenance of ship specific IGF fuel systems

- Liaison with ship owners, newbuilding departments, shipyards, class offices and flag states

- Technical assistance and approval of course documentation

- Training and assistance of in-house instructors

- Training of multi-disciplinary crew in IGF (STCW and ship specific) courses


Technical knowledge and soft skills

- Experience with gas tankers or chemical tankers, cruise industry experience is a plus.

- IGF basic and advanced and/or IGC basic and advanced certified.

- High analytical and proposal skills.

- Risk Assessment and procedural compliance oriented.

- Open and familiar yet a natural authority.
