Job description

You work on the newest naval innovations in the Netherlands, where the engineering teams deliver complex vessels with strict quality, safety, and security standards. You join a multi-disciplinary setup where the department creates practical designs that production can execute.

You join the Structures, Plans and Arrangements team as an interim Draughtsman. You enrich foundation drawings with the details needed for onsite machining. You add machining info, bolt patterns, alignment details, and grouting requirements so foundations can be installed correctly.

You work closely with mechanical engineers, installation teams, and suppliers. You create and update 3D drawings, and you make sure drawings get the right internal approvals. You spot clashes early, and you bring solutions to the team lead.

Your tasks

  • Create machining drawings for foundations, independently.

  • Add production ready information like bolt configurations and grouting requirements.

  • Coordinate with engineering, installation, and suppliers to deliver correct output.

  • Flag technical issues early and propose practical fixes.

  • Keep drawings aligned with changing project requirements.

Profile

  • A Bachelor's in an engineering-related field.

  • At least 2 years creating production and machining information.

  • Experience with 3D CAD, SolidWorks or 3DExperience CATIA.

  • Communication in English, written and spoken.

  • EU citizenship. Candidates with an EU work visa only, or with dual EU and non-EU nationality or passport, are not eligible due to project restrictions.

About the company You will join an international contractor active in dredging, offshore energy, infra marine and environmental works. The teams deliver complex marine projects with high safety standards, tight planning, and operational discipline. Job description As Senior Project Engineer, you prepare and execute offshore projects, and you act as the link between the project team and the operational crew. You translate engineering and contract requirements into workable plans, clear technical documentation, and safe site execution. You keep control of cost, schedule, vendors, and risks, and you support installation activities on site. This is a freelance contract, full time, based from the Breda office. Office presence is required on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. Your key responsibilities Prepare, review, and approve technical documentation for design and execution phases. Build execution plans and work packages, then drive them through construction and installation. Monitor and control project costs, progress, and forecasts during execution. Manage vendors and contractors, including scope alignment, site coordination, and deliverable follow up. Identify execution risks early, then implement mitigation actions for EHS, manpower, and logistics. Monitor installation processes and solve technical issues fast. Coordinate interfaces between engineering, procurement, operations, and subcontractors.
