Your role in the team

The Technical Superintendent is responsible for overseeing the operational, technical, and financial management and will act as key contact person internally and externally for all yacht related communication.

You work under the Head of Fleet Management.

Fortunately, we can count on you for the following:

You are the first point of contact for technical matters and follow up on all aspects of statutory compliance and vessel classification
You define, review, and monitor the annual OPEX and drydock proposals, as well as the yacht’s operating budget
You report to the Head of Fleet Management and keep them continuously informed about ongoing activities
You review the vessel’s ISM annually in collaboration with HSEQ and the vessel’s crew

Profile

Do you have what it takes to be a Superintendent for Superyachts?

Maritime Academy graduate or equivalent experience
Experience on commercial yachts or commercial vessels.
Extensive knowledge of Ship Management and administration, technical aspects of yachts (new build and maintenance), relevant yachting legislation.
Good knowledge of navigation, insurance, accounting, yacht maintenance and upkeeping and budget management.
Fluent in written and spoken English.

What do we offer you? In return for your hard work, we offer you a € salary based on experience. You have two days working from home. We help to find affordable accommodation, if relocation is needed. Thankfully, we can rely on you for the following: You will play a pivotal role in finalizing the design of our super yachts. Working alongside a team of fellow Engineers and under the guidance of a Senior Engineer, You will contribute to detailed designs, 3D models, and datasheets for projects within your expertise. The special Engineering department is responsible for conceiving and designing solutions for doors, hatches, railings, and sunshades onboard our super yachts. When developing solutions, you will consider factors such as material usage, production techniques, assembly, costs, and feasibility. Your ongoing coordination with from colleagues work preparation and production departments will ensure the seamless realization of designs.

You will be part of a multidisciplinary engineering environment within a leading superyacht builder, working closely with production teams in a yard setting. The role focuses on detail design and production support, acting as a technical interface between engineering and execution. Your challenge Deliver piping designs that are compliant and technically sound. You ensure traceability from 3D model to installation, resolving bottlenecks before they impact build progress, while maintaining consistency across documentation and standards. What you’ll do Develop detailed piping designs and 3D models, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and buildability Review and validate drawings and technical documentation prior to release, safeguarding engineering quality Act as the interface between engineering and production, resolving technical queries and supporting execution on site Support and coach junior engineers where needed, providing practical guidance on technical challenges Ensure compliance with classification society rules, flag state requirements, and internal standards Identify and resolve technical bottlenecks through coordination with multidisciplinary teams Contribute to the improvement of engineering standards, methodologies, and tools
