What are we looking for? An hands-on, flexible, enthusiastic Project Controller/Planner with passion for shipbuilding, with a first experience in project support or other related administrative tasks.

Tasks & responsibilities

  • You pick up the general administrative tasks for our engineering offices in Belgium (Temse) & the Netherlands (Zwijndrecht, Vlissingen)
  • You will follow up on our Project management system (overall) : creating projects, users and folders. Ensuring all data is entered well, updating tasks, …
  • For the larger projects you will control the project schedule and budget and report on a regular basis to the clients and project managers
  • You are responsible for setting up contracts with freelancers and subcontractors (international) based on existing contracts
  • Regarding freelancers or subcontractors working for our engineering office, you will follow up and confirm their timesheet(s)
  • You will be involved in setting up Project Management templates and progress sheets.
  • When receiving drawings or technical documentation from clients, you can assist in the required archiving of that documentation.
  • You will follow up on our resource planning and lead the biweekly resource planning meetings to optimize our short and long term capacity planning.
  • You report directly to the Design & Engineering Manager.


Technical knowledge & soft skills

• You have a relevant Bachelor and or Master degree. • You have relevant experience in a project oriented organisation. • You speak and write Dutch and English fluently. • You are a strong communicator who derives energy from having contact(s)/communication with our different engineering offices/project managers and other possible parties. • You are able to work autonomously. • You are curious and critical. • You are flexible and taking initiative to see and solve problems and to take over as much as possible administrative tasks from the engineering offices so they can focus more on their engineering tasks. • You understand business and project processes well or are interested in developing yourself on this topic. • You will work in one of our offices. • Experience with planning in MS projects would be an asset.
