As Design Engineer Naval Architecture, you will play a crucial role in ship design and the delivery of the tender package. You will be responsible for developing naval architecture design solutions into a set of requirements during precontract activities in the Proposals department.

You can perform design & development activities.
You can execute requirements analysis, concept generation, general arrangement design, weight estimations, stability calculations, resistance and propulsion calculations, and main ship balances.
You evaluate new concepts and take care of the corresponding reporting.
You write technical documents, specifications for equipment, contract specifications, reports, and make presentations to visualize the calculations & concepts.
You ensure effective communication with all relevant stakeholders so that input can be included in the specialized calculations.

Profile

Do you have what it takes to be a Design Engineer Naval Architect?

Master or bachelor degree in Naval Architecture, Mechanical Engineering, or another relevant technical study.
At least three years of relevant experience in a variety of design concepts and practices
Permanent EU citizenship and passport are both required.

MULTI.engineering is currently looking for a Piping designer ships for our own Design and Engineering Office in Vlissingen, The Netherlands. Tasks & responsibilities As a senior piping designer, you are part of the team that focuses on maritime projects within the field of piping and mechanics. You will collaborate one on one with your team leader and your skills will take the projects to a higher level. You are responsible for the correct interpretation of the scope; You draw and design 3D piping models, P&ID’s and lay-out drawings; You participate in the concept development, basic and detail design; You compose the necessary tie in lists and isometrics. You cooperate on engineering projects but you are also involved the stages before and after. You guard the quality of these projects by making use of our MULTI methodology.

Luckily, we can count on you for the following: You contribute to projects involving new builds, conversions, and refits of vessels, ranging from workboats to +130m megayachts. You can perform structural calculations for both local and global ship constructions. You perform these calculations for steel and aluminum structures: statics, buckling, modal, optimization You take responsibility for integrating deliverables into the ship design, in close collaboration with internal and external stakeholders. You conduct vessel motion analyses.
