Job | Sr. Engineer Plans & Arrangements | Vlissingen

Role: Senior Engineer Plans & Arrangements Work location: Vlissingen, the Netherlands – hybrid, with up to two days per week working from home Start: ASAP Duration: Six months, with the possibility of extension Contract: Employment contract Language: English Focus: Statutory plans for naval vessels, classification requirements, and 2D and 3D CAD Due to the military nature of the project, we will only consider EU citizens. Where You’ll Work You will join the Plans & Arrangements team within the engineering department of a naval shipyard. Working in basic engineering, your focus will be on statutory plans developed from ship specifications, applicable regulations and stakeholder requirements. Your work includes General Arrangement, Fire Safety and Watertight Integrity Plans. These documents provide essential input for other engineering disciplines and require approval from classification societies and clients. You will work closely with engineers across disciplines and discuss technical challenges with the Lead Engineer Plans. What You’ll Do Analyse applicable rules, regulations, standards and customer requirements for your assigned plans. Independently prepare statutory plans using 2D and 3D CAD software, ensuring compliance with ship specifications and applicable requirements. Coordinate technical input with other engineering disciplines to resolve interfaces and develop consistent plans. Prepare plans for classification society and client approval and address their comments. Identify technical challenges, propose practical solutions and discuss them with the Lead Engineer Plans. Update plans as project requirements evolve, incorporating relevant regulatory and technical developments. Contribute to improvements in the P&A team’s engineering methods and working practices.

Job | CAD Designer – Offshore Lifting Operations | Utrecht

Role: CAD Designer – Offshore Lifting Operations Work location: Utrecht, the Netherlands – three office days per week Start: ASAP Duration: Approximately three months Contract: Freelance assignment, minimum 32 hours per week, ideally 40 Language: English Focus: Inventor 3D modelling and AutoCAD 2D drawings for jack-up vessel positioning and offshore wind turbine de-installation Does your background include offshore lifting and jack-up vessels? This assignment combines 3D modelling with practical drawing deliverables. Using Inventor and AutoCAD, you will keep the project model current and prepare drawings covering vessel positioning, lifting plans, deck layouts and the de-installation sequence. What You’ll Do Maintain and update the 3D project model in Inventor with the latest project information. Prepare 2D jack-up vessel positioning drawings using information from the model. Produce offshore lifting plan drawings for wind turbine de-installation. Prepare drawings showing the de-installation sequence. Create jack-up vessel deck layout drawings.

Role: Senior Project Manager – Frigates & Offshore Patrol Vessels Work location: Den Helder, the Netherlands; working from home possible after onboarding Start: 1 December 2026, preferred Duration: One year, with possible extension Contract: Employment contract Hours: 32–40 hours per week Language: Dutch Focus: Complex naval maintenance projects, project recovery and structured improvement programmes Due to the military nature of the project, we will only consider candidates with Dutch nationality who are willing to undergo MIVD screening. Appointment is subject to a positive security clearance (VGB) outcome. Where You’ll Work You will join a naval organisation responsible for maintaining vessels and their systems throughout their lifecycle. The projects section coordinates scheduled maintenance and modifications for frigates and offshore patrol vessels, working with internal specialists and external contractors. Alongside project managers, project planners, ship coordinators and project support colleagues, you will take responsibility for technically complex projects that have stalled or require corrective action. These projects involve multiple commissioning stakeholders and interconnected subprojects, requiring clear agreements, practical improvements and consistent follow-through. What You’ll Do Assess stalled or problematic projects, identify the causes and agree an improvement programme with stakeholders. Implement structured improvements and restore project control within revised, agreed delivery parameters. Prepare and maintain Project Initiation Documentation (PID), defining the agreed activities and deliverables. Coordinate delivery of the activities set out in the PID and verify their completion. Prepare and update plans covering activities, milestones, financial commitments, payments, personnel and material resources. Manage interconnected subprojects and stakeholder requirements while controlling quality, time and cost within delegated limits. Maintain a risk register, identify risks early and take action to reduce their impact. Report periodically on progress and results, recommending changes or corrective actions where required.
