  • You develop and route piping systems within the vessel.
  • You prepare technical specifications for equipment and systems.
  • You draft, check and further develop ship designs.
  • You check and review the documentation related to these systems.

Profile

Do you have what it takes to be a Project Engineer Rivercruiser?

  • You have a higher professional education degree in Mechanical Engineering or Shipbuilding.
  • You have several years of relevant experience as a project engineer in shipbuilding.
  • You have experience with 2D and 3D drafting systems.
  • You have knowledge of relevant legislation and regulations within shipbuilding.
  • You speak English.

Je bereidt de nodige materialen voor en verzamelt ze aan de hand van de aangereikte materiaallijsten en tekeningen. Je coördineert de mobilisatie en demobilisatie van het materiaal van en naar de werf. Je treft de nodige voorbereidingen op de werf. Projectuitvoering Je voert projecten uit op de werf, waaronder afmeeroperaties, ballasteren en het begeleiden van pontons tijdens laad- en losoperaties.

Role: Electrical Designer / Engineer Work location: Kinderdijk, the Netherlands – hybrid Start: ASAP Duration: Six months to one year, with longer continuation possible through an employment contract Contract: Employment contract or freelance assignment Language: English Focus: Electrical systems, power distribution and automation for naval and marine defence assets Due to the military nature of the project, only EU citizens will be considered. If your background is in electrical engineering, this Electrical Designer / Engineer position brings together system design, integration, and commissioning support for naval projects. You will use EPLAN and AutoCAD to develop electrical deliverables, alongside Teamcenter and SAP, within an English-speaking working environment. Relocation support is available for candidates moving to the Netherlands, and both employment candidates and freelancers are welcome. Where You’ll Work You will join an engineering team working on electrical and automation systems for naval vessels and marine defence assets. The scope covers power generation and distribution, propulsion control, navigation, communication, and handling equipment. Your work connects electrical design with onboard installation and commissioning, with attention to naval standards and classification requirements. What You’ll Do Integrate navigation, communication, propulsion control, energy management and handling equipment into the overall naval platform. Design power generation and distribution systems, including generators, main switchboards, low- and medium-voltage drives and transformers. Develop electrical designs for alarm monitoring and vessel management systems. Prepare single-line diagrams, electrical load balances and electrical schematics using EPLAN and AutoCAD. Develop cable tray routing drawings. Prepare technical documentation for electrical systems and their integration. Prepare factory acceptance testing (FAT) documentation. Support installation and commissioning of electrical and automation systems.
