As a PLM Functional Analyst, you will be the link between engineering teams and IT. You understand how engineers work, listen carefully to the challenges they face in the software, and translate those needs into clear functional questions, specifications, and improvements.

Where You’ll Work:

You will work from Vlissingen, where the first year will focus strongly on onboarding, learning the environment, and getting familiar with the engineering processes and PLM landscape. After that, the role may move partly or fully towards Schiedam, depending on project needs.

The work is connected to innovative naval vessel projects, where accurate engineering data, reliable systems, and practical application support are essential.

What You’ll Be Working On:

You will support engineers in their daily use of PLM systems and help improve the way engineering data, processes, and applications are used across the project.

A key part of the role is understanding the real question behind a software issue. You speak with engineers, clarify what is happening, turn their input into a clear problem statement, and work with IT to find the right solution.

You will also help prepare training materials, user documentation, and practical guidance so that engineering teams can use the systems more effectively.

What You’ll Do:

  • Translate engineering processes and user needs into clear functional specifications.
  • Work closely with engineers, IT specialists, and other stakeholders to improve usability and system performance.
  • Analyse software questions from engineers and turn them into practical problem statements for IT.
  • Support the implementation of application improvements and configuration changes.
  • Manage user roles, system access, and the introduction of new functionalities.
  • Maintain and develop parametric parts, technical specifications, and data catalogues.
  • Provide hands-on user support for PLM-related questions.
  • Create and maintain training materials, documentation, and user manuals.
  • Coordinate or support relevant application training for engineering users.
  • Optionally support the Cadmatic Outfitting application on legacy projects.

Profile

What You Bring:

  • 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in PLM, functional application management, or engineering software support.
  • Knowledge of PLM principles and engineering processes.
  • Experience with the Dassault 3DEXPERIENCE platform.
  • The ability to speak with engineers about software use, process challenges, and practical improvements.
  • Good communication skills in English.
  • A completed technical degree or equivalent professional background.
  • A practical mindset and the ability to translate user input into clear functional requirements.
  • EU citizenship and a permanent EU passport, due to the military nature of the projects.

Je zal één op één samenwerken met de teamleader en jouw skills zullen de projecten naar een hoger niveau tillen. Je tekent & ontwerpt 3D-pijpleidingmodellen en lay-outtekeningen voor offshore vessels, superyachts,.. Je helpt bij het opstellen van aansluitlijsten en isometrische tekeningen. Wat bieden wij jou aan als Junior Projectingenieur Scheepsbouw? In ruil voor jouw werk bieden wij jou een € salaris aan op basis van je opleiding.
