As a Naval Architect, you will manage the Naval Architecture scope for one or more large superyacht projects. The main emphasis is on weight calculation, estimation and monitoring, supported by your knowledge of stability and regulatory compliance. You will work in an international, English-speaking project team. Relocation support is available when needed.

Where You’ll Work

You will join a multidisciplinary engineering team working on large, fully custom-built superyachts. Reporting to the Lead Engineer, you will independently manage your assigned scope while coordinating with Project Management, Production, Engineering and external specialists.

Detailed calculations and analyses may be prepared by external engineering partners. Your responsibility is to review and challenge these deliverables, maintain technical consistency and ensure that the weight development of each project remains controlled throughout engineering and construction.

What You’ll Do

  • Take technical ownership of the Naval Architecture scope for your assigned superyacht project or projects.
  • Prepare, review and maintain weight calculations, estimates, margins and weight-monitoring reports.
  • Track weight development throughout engineering and construction, identifying deviations and their potential consequences.
  • Review and challenge technical deliverables covering stability, hydrostatics, vessel performance and regulatory compliance.
  • Assess the effect of design changes on vessel weight, centre of gravity, stability and performance.
  • Ensure compliance with project requirements, classification rules, flag regulations and applicable yacht codes.
  • Coordinate technical discussions with classification societies, flag administrations, suppliers and engineering partners.
  • Translate regulatory and Naval Architecture requirements into practical, buildable solutions.
  • Resolve technical issues during construction and provide on-site engineering support when required.
  • Support inclining tests, sea trials, docking, launching and transport operations.

Profile

What You Bring

  • A bachelor’s or master’s degree in Naval Architecture or Marine Engineering.
  • At least seven years of relevant experience in shipbuilding or the yachting industry.
  • Extensive experience with vessel weight calculations, weight estimation and weight monitoring.
  • Practical knowledge of weight margins, centres of gravity and the impact of design changes on vessel performance.
  • Experience with stability calculations, inclining tests and sea trials.
  • The ability to review technical calculations critically and challenge assumptions when necessary.
  • Good knowledge of international maritime regulations, classification rules and flag requirements.
  • Experience with the REG Yacht Code would be an advantage.
  • A good understanding of yacht construction processes and shipyard constraints.
  • The engineering judgement to work independently and take clear ownership of your technical scope.
  • Excellent communication skills in English.

Role: Mechanical Project Engineer - Superyachts Work location: near Den Bosch, the Netherlands Start: To be discussed Duration: Long-term to permanent Contract: Employment contract Language: English Focus: Mechanical engineering, work preparation, technical coordination, ERP material management, 2D AutoCAD P&ID and 3D CAD As a Mechanical Project Engineer - Superyachts near Den bosch, the Netherlands, you will work on mechanical systems for exclusive superyachts, using your experience in work preparation, ERP, 2D AutoCAD P&ID and 3D CAD within an international engineering and production environment. Relocation support is available for candidates moving to the Netherlands. What You’ll Be Working On: You will join the Mechanical Engineering discipline within a shipyard environment where exclusive superyachts are engineered and built on site. The production halls are located close to the engineering office, giving you direct insight into how technical decisions, drawings, material data and project preparation affect the yacht under construction. The mechanical engineering team works on the complete technical design of the yacht, from drawings and engineering preparation through to handover to the crew. You will work closely with Project Leaders, Engineers, production colleagues and other technical disciplines to keep information complete, materials controlled and production preparation on track. What You’ll Do: Collect, check and process technical information for mechanical engineering work packages. Support Project Leaders and Engineers with mechanical technical questions during engineering and production preparation. Help coordinate engineering input so production can work efficiently and with the right technical information. Manage and maintain material data in the ERP system. Support the preparation of mechanical systems, including information related to P&IDs and 3D CAD models. Monitor progress on technical preparation and help ensure deadlines are met. Job | Marine Operations Engineer | Denmark

Role: Marine Operations Engineer Workplace: Rødbyhavn, Denmark Start: August / September 2026, still to be decided Duration: Long-term project Contract: Employment contract or freelance assignment Focus: Immersion engineering, ballast planning, float-up calculations, stability, mooring, transport, and offshore installation As Immersion Engineer, you will help prepare and execute the float-up, transport and offshore immersion of large concrete tunnel elements. This is a technically critical role where engineering calculations, operational judgement and clear communication all come together during real marine operations. This position is available both as a permanent employment role and as a freelance assignment. Where You’ll Work: You will work in Rødbyhavn, Denmark, on a major international marine infrastructure project. The project environment is practical, technical, and collaborative, with short decision lines and a team-oriented way of working. The role can be based full-time in Denmark or arranged in a 4-2 rotation. What You’ll Be Working On: You will be part of the team responsible for floating up and/or hoisting concrete tunnel elements, equipping them in port, transporting them offshore and supporting their installation at sea. During the preparation phase, your focus will be on ballast plans, float-up calculations, weight analysis, stability, mooring, harbour transfers and technical documentation. During the execution phase, you will support offshore immersion operations from the command unit, advising the operational team and helping ensure the work stays within the agreed boundary conditions. What You’ll Do: Prepare ballast plans and float-up calculations for large concrete tunnel elements. Work on weight analysis, ballast concrete and water calculations, floating stability and longitudinal section forces. What You Bring: A background as a civil engineer with hydrodynamics expertise, naval architect, or maritime engineer. At least 7 years of relevant engineering experience. Experience with immersion of large structures or offshore lifting operations. Good understanding of stability calculations, mooring calculations and hydrodynamics. Practical problem-solving ability and confidence in technical decision-making. Clear communication skills in an international project environment. A team-focused mindset and willingness to take responsibility for your work. Willingness to work in Denmark and go offshore during immersion operations. Willingness to complete an STCW course if required. Fluent English.
