Concept and basic engineering for a water injection dredger

MULTI.engineering and Socarenam jointly participated in a Port of Bordeaux’s public tender, collaborating on a conceptual design for an LNG-powered Water Injection Dredger.

Their submission resulted in their design being selected as the winner, securing Socarenam a shipbuilding contract. Subsequently, MULTI.engineering provided further assistance to Socarenam in the basic engineering phase, focusing on the naval architecture and the structural scope of the project.

The engineering included statutory and stability calculations, noise & vibration study, implementation of LNG system, scantling and FEA calculations to provide construction plans.
