MULTI.engineering is hiring a Mechanical Engineer – Naval Equipment for the duration of minimum 6 months to support our client in the area of Rotterdam, The Netherlands.

Tasks & responsibilities

As a Mechanical Engineer – Naval Equipment, you have the following responsibilities:

  • You enjoy working on advanced mechanical systems and guiding younger colleagues;
  • You will join a small, motivated team with a strong lead engineer and several juniors who will look to you for technical support;
  • You design mechanical systems such as cranes, winches, life-raft mechanisms and other complex components;
  • You build 3D models and detailed designs in Autodesk Inventor (your most important tool);
  • You perform strength and structural analyses in ANSYS or FEMAP;
  • You translate functional requirements into reliable, safe and well-engineered solutions.

Profile

Technical knowledge & soft skills

  • You minimally have a bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering;
  • You are a specialist in mechanical systems (like cranes, gearboxes, hoisting or similar machinery) and have minimally 4 years of relevant experience in shipbuilding;
  • You are experienced with Inventor. FEMAP or Ansys is a plus;
  • EU citizenship is required because of the military nature of the project;
  • You have an excellent knowledge of English (spoken and written). Knowledge of Dutch is a plus.

Job | Project Engineer Offshore | Utrecht

Je zal werken aan offshore energieprojecten in Nederland & Scandinavië. De focus ligt op specialistische opdrachten in uitdagende of nearshore gebieden met beperkte waterdiepte. Daarnaast speel je een rol in het veilig en duurzaam ontmantelen van verouderde offshore windparken op zee. Wat bieden wij jou aan als Projectingenieur Offshore? Je moet technische documentie goed bijhouden, alles zorgvuldig plannen en alle details opnemen in je berekeningen. Je identificeert mogelijke knelpunten en bedenkt proactief oplossingen om deze aan te pakken, terwijl je strakke deadlines respecteert.

Job| Structures Designer | Shipbuilding

We are a Belgian-Dutch company specialized in design, engineering, project management, and supervision of offshore projects. What can we offer you as a Structures Designer? In return for your hard work, we offer you a € salary based on experience and education. We will share the compensation during an email or phone conversation. If relocation is needed, we provide help to search for affordable accommodation. Compensation for commuting costs: (own car / public transport / bike) Fortunately, we can count on you for the following: You provide detailed work instructions for production employees abroad. You maintain the Material Take-Off (MTO). You manage and order raw materials efficiently. You provide the engineering information package, which includes all drawings and files, organized per department or ship section. As part of the Manufacturing department, you are responsible for completing specific sections of the ship and forwarding the corresponding packages to the shipyard or customer. Cadmatic Hull Designer

We’re looking for an experienced Cadmatic Hull Designer to join a 6-month naval engineering project starting January 2026. You’ll be responsible for detailed hull design and production drawings using Cadmatic, working closely with structural and outfitting teams to ensure everything lines up with yard and class requirements. What You’ll Do Develop and update detailed 3D models and 2D production drawings in Cadmatic Hull Prepare arrangement, section, and detail drawings for hull construction Coordinate with other disciplines to ensure seamless integration Follow class society and shipyard standards Support production and resolve issues as needed during the build phase
