As a Mechanical Project Engineer - Superyachts near Den bosch, the Netherlands, you will work on mechanical systems for exclusive superyachts, using your experience in work preparation, ERP, 2D AutoCAD P&ID and 3D CAD within an international engineering and production environment. Relocation support is available for candidates moving to the Netherlands.

What You’ll Be Working On:

You will join the Mechanical Engineering discipline within a shipyard environment where exclusive superyachts are engineered and built on site. The production halls are located close to the engineering office, giving you direct insight into how technical decisions, drawings, material data and project preparation affect the yacht under construction.

The mechanical engineering team works on the complete technical design of the yacht, from drawings and engineering preparation through to handover to the crew. You will work closely with Project Leaders, Engineers, production colleagues and other technical disciplines to keep information complete, materials controlled and production preparation on track.

What You’ll Do:

  • Collect, check and process technical information for mechanical engineering work packages.
  • Support Project Leaders and Engineers with mechanical technical questions during engineering and production preparation.
  • Help coordinate engineering input so production can work efficiently and with the right technical information.
  • Manage and maintain material data in the ERP system.
  • Support the preparation of mechanical systems, including information related to P&IDs and 3D CAD models.
  • Monitor progress on technical preparation and help ensure deadlines are met.
  • Coordinate with colleagues across engineering, production and other disciplines to resolve practical technical issues.
  • Contribute to an organized and safe working environment by supporting compliance with internal quality, safety and environmental standards.
  • Help maintain accuracy, structure and traceability in engineering documentation and project information.

Profile

What You Bring:

  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in Mechanical Engineering, gained through education or relevant experience.
  • Experience with work preparation and project-based engineering work.
  • Experience in superyacht building, shipbuilding, or maritime engineering.
  • Knowledge of ERP systems.
  • Knowledge and experience with 3D CAD and 2D AutoCAD, including P&ID-related work.
  • Analytical thinking, accuracy, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to keep an overview in complex technical situations.
  • Good command of English.
  • Comfortable working with different disciplines in an engineering and production environment.
  • Familiarity with mechanical systems for vessels or high-end technical projects is preferred.
  • Experience supporting Project Leaders or coordinating engineers would be useful.
