MULTI.engineering is currently looking for a specialist hydrodynamics for our client located close to Leiden, The Netherlands.

Tasks & responsibilities

You conduct analyses related to seakeeping, resistance, propulsion, manoeuvring behaviour and Dynamic Positioning (DP);
You translate complex results into clear advice for design teams and other stakeholders;
You develop and maintain hydrodynamic knowledge, tools and methods;
You evaluate and interpret results from model tests and sea trials;
You maintain close contact with external partners such as research institutes, universities and suppliers.

Profile

Technical knowledge & soft skills

You minimally have a master degree in Maritime Engineering or Naval Architecture or equivalent;
You have minimally 5 years of relevant experience with seakeeping and comfort analyses. Experience with data analysis and large datasets is a plus;
You are experienced with numerical modelling and coding software like Python and/or Matlab;
You have an excellent knowledge of English (spoken and written). Knowledge of Dutch is a plus;
You like to take initiative and are communicative.

Cadmatic Hull Designer

We’re looking for an experienced Cadmatic Hull Designer to join a 6-month naval engineering project starting January 2026. You’ll be responsible for detailed hull design and production drawings using Cadmatic, working closely with structural and outfitting teams to ensure everything lines up with yard and class requirements. Your Role Logistics Coordination & Technical Oversight You will be responsible for managing and coordinating the logistics flow of technical equipment from the Netherlands to international shipbuilding locations. The role combines logistics coordination with technical oversight, ensuring that equipment is delivered on time, correctly labeled, fully documented, and compliant with project and customs requirements. Key Responsibilities Transport, Customs & Equipment Handling Coordinate the transport of technical equipment to international destinations Arrange national and international transport Prepare and manage shipping and customs documentation Ensure correct labeling of all equipment and materials Guide shipments through customs and clearance processes Support back-office activities by creating and maintaining overview lists and logistics schedules Act as a link between engineering, suppliers, transport companies, and shipyard stakeholders Requirements Experience in Maritime or Offshore Logistics Experience in a logistics, transport coordination, or technical superintendent role is preferred Background in maritime, offshore, or heavy equipment projects is an advantage Familiarity with international shipping and customs procedures Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Comfortable working from both an office environment and on-site at suppliers Good command of the English language, spoken and written

Job | Project Engineer Offshore | Utrecht

Je zal werken aan offshore energieprojecten in Nederland & Scandinavië. De focus ligt op specialistische opdrachten in uitdagende of nearshore gebieden met beperkte waterdiepte. Daarnaast speel je een rol in het veilig en duurzaam ontmantelen van verouderde offshore windparken op zee. Wat bieden wij jou aan als Projectingenieur Offshore? In ruil voor jouw werk bieden wij jou een € salaris aan op basis van ervaring. Je werkt maandag zeker op kantoor, de rest van de dagen werk je hyrbide. Gelukkig kunnen wij op jou rekenen voor het volgende: Je houdt je bezig met fundatie-installatie (installation engineering) en decommissioning van offshore windparken van de eerste generatie. Je stelt method statements, werkmethodieken, methode deck layouts en ballastplannen op. Je werkt nauw samen met de partner voor tekenwerk en sterkteberekeningen, en fungeert als liaison tussen teams. Je moet technische documentie goed bijhouden, alles zorgvuldig plannen en alle details opnemen in je berekeningen. Je identificeert mogelijke knelpunten en bedenkt proactief oplossingen om deze aan te pakken, terwijl je strakke deadlines respecteert.
