Design and deliver the structural engineering of the world’s most complex superyachts (50–140 m). Take technical ownership and lead engineers.

Fortunately, we can count on you for the following:

  • You develop, together with your team of engineers, the primary structural concept and overall structural designs for fully custom luxury superyachts of 50 to 140 meters.
  • You maintain a clear overview between high-level concepts and detailed aspects throughout the process.
  • You create innovative solutions for integrating complex components and take responsibility for strength and stiffness calculations (both hand calculations and in collaboration with the FEM team).
  • You use 3D CAD systems to accurately process and manage information and specifications.
  • You represent your discipline and ensure seamless integration into the overall design, in close collaboration with other disciplines.
  • You ensure quality control and timely delivery through clear communication and expertise, meeting planning, budget, quality, and specifications.
  • You coordinate with shipyards, owner’s teams, classification societies, and suppliers.
  • You assess the manufacturability of the design and, later in the process, monitor detailed engineering and hull construction.

You act as a key point of reference for your Structural colleagues, using your expertise to coach and support others through advice and guidance.

Profile

Do you have what it takes to be a Project Engineer Structural for Superyachts?

  • You have a completed degree relevant in the field (Naval Architecture or Naval Engineering).
  • You have 5+ years of leadership experience within shipbuilding engineering, also experience as a Structural Engineer.
  • You have knowledge of modern 3D CAD, PLM and/or FEM applications (experience with Siemens NX is a plus).
  • You have strong expertise in ship design (preferably passenger vessels over 50 meters), safety and regulations (LR, REG LY Code, SOLAS), and FEM and vibration analyses.
