Project manager Maritime & Offshore | With MULTI.engineering since January 2020
What is your background?
I did my bachelor's degree in civil engineering in India and obtained a master's degree in structural engineering from TU Delft. After working for the heavy lifting specialist Sarens for 4 years, I started working at MULTI.engineering as a project manager.
What do you find challenging about your job?
The mechanical scope is new and challenging for me as a structural engineer. Fortunately, I can learn a lot from the good cooperation with my experienced team and colleagues.
What gives you satisfaction in your job?
Being able to work on multidisciplinary processes that not only involve project management, but also engineering calculations and business development. You don't get that opportunity in every engineering company. You learn a lot and it’s always exciting.
What projects do you usually work on?
We deal with different types of engineering projects. To name a few ones recently done: engineering of an offshore mussel farm project, sea fastening design for an offshore installation vessel, detail engineering of several 100+m yachts, and engineering design of the steel structure of an industrial boiler.
I’m also involved in the business development of our Moray base floater, which is an ingenious solution to the offshore floating wind, developed by our sister company Maridea.
Altogether, it’s a good blend of engineering, project management and business development.

MULTI is a warm organisation with a family atmosphere. Especially if you are an expat like me, they do everything they can to make you feel at home and settle down easily. For example, they helped me to identify the schools for my kids, helped in house hunting, translating official government communications letters in Dutch etc.
