Profile

Your Skills & Experience:

Vocational degree in Engineering;
Experience with PDM/PLM tools, data entry, and Microsoft applications;
Attention to detail and proactive approach;
EU citizenship is a must;
Fluency in English is essential.

Design & Proposal Engineer Marine Diving Vessels

MULTI.engineering is currently looking for a Design & Proposal Engineer Marine Diving Vessels for a project of 15 months (extension possible) at our clients location (Rotterdam area) in The Netherlands. This concerns an innovative project because the vessel will be built dual fuel (methanol / diesel) and the purpose will be to dive. This means a lot of complex systems have to be installed in a tight space. Dimensions are limited because the vessel will be operating mainly in inland waters. Tasks & responsibilities You will design the vessel according to the clients criteria (draw up line plans, assess ship strengths, establish main classifications, technical specifications, etc); You will draft general plans, write specifications and draw up procurement specifications; You collaborate with internal departments and external partners for optimal project results; You set up project plans, including milestones, and calculate supplemental work and cost savings.

You guide shipbuilding projects with expertise, ensure compliance and work closely with production and proposals in Vlissingen. Tasks & Responsibilities: Draft and review specifications for preservation, welding and adhesives; Develop technical instructions aligned with contractual requirements; Advise on ISO 3834 welding, corrosion prevention, and bonding; Collaborate with clients, suppliers, and engineers for smooth project delivery; Lead research and ensure technical compliance.

P&ID Engineer

You will translate the technical building specifications into a Basic & Detailed Engineering package. You will work closely with shipyards worldwide to support during building process, detail engineering and 3D packages. You can perform complex calculations (load/power, strength, flow) in the mechanical field. You will create and update P&ID's for piping systems on board of the vessel. You will prepare technical space layouts, systems diagrams and outfitting arrangements. You will prepare and assess technical specifications for piping systems diagrams and equipment. You are able to coordinate the outsourcing of work to subcontractors.
