What you will do

  • Define system concepts and choose the best valve and fitting setups for each project

  • Write and review technical specifications for suppliers and subcontractors

  • Assess quotations and guard the quality of all supplier deliverables

  • Gather and check engineering data so every team has what they need

  • Lead technical integration reviews and testing focused on interfaces and fit

  • Spot issues early, propose improvements, and strengthen overall integration

  • Support FAT, HAT, SAT, installation, and commissioning when needed

  • Build strong working relationships with suppliers, clients, and regulators

Profile

What makes you a strong match

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Marine Engineering

  • Experience with valves and fittings in marine or offshore environments

  • Fluent English; Dutch is a welcome bonus

  • Experience with Cadmatic or 3DExperience (Catia) is an advantage

  • Ready to work on-site in Vlissingen, The Netherlands

  • EU citizenship

Job | Engineering App. Specialist - Cadmatic Hull & PLM | Rotterdam

You work daily with Engineering, Engineering Support, IT, and key suppliers. Your input shapes how projects run, not just how the tool behaves. What you will do Translate engineering needs into clear functional specs for application improvements. Analyse issues with users, stakeholders, and suppliers. You drive solutions to closure. Develop and implement Cadmatic Hull processes and functional improvements. Manage interfaces between Cadmatic Hull and other PLM and CAD applications. Set up and configure Cadmatic Hull project environments for new projects. Manage catalogs, libraries, specifications, and project data structures. Maintain user access rights and role based permissions. Coordinate and deliver Cadmatic Hull training with Engineering Support. Create training materials, tips, documentation, and user manuals. Provide day to day functional support to PLM and CAD users. What you bring Bachelor's level thinking in Engineering, Shipbuilding, or similar, or proven competence. Hands-on experience with Cadmatic Hull and the Cadmatic platform. Understanding of PLM principles. Experience in application management helps. Clear communication in English. Dutch helps, but it is not mandatory. You can work on site in Vlissingen and Schiedam. Hybrid working is possible.
