Job | Naval Architect Weight Specialist | Amsterdam Area
Job description
You’ll work at the heart of our engineering team, reviewing and verifying thousands of components to maintain reliable weight models throughout the build process.
What you’ll do
- Review, validate, and verify weight and CoG data from engineering models, drawings, and supplier information.
- Ensure consistency and accuracy of approximately 4,000 lightship weight items, including their CoG.
- Collaborate with engineers across multiple disciplines to maintain an up-to-date and trustworthy weight control model.
- Identify, analyze, and report anomalies, inconsistencies, and missing items in the weight data.
- Support engineering decisions by providing reliable weight and balance information.

Profile
What you bring
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Naval Architecture, Marine Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience as a Naval Architect, ideally with a focus on weight control.
- Proficiency in Cadmatic, Siemens NX, and AutoCAD.
- Strong analytical skills and meticulous attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills in English and ability to work effectively in a multicultural team.
